Seydou Keita, the midfielder from FC Barcelona, has spoken before the games in Champions League and admitted that he’d like Real Madrid to “jump out” of the CL. “They would lose their grip, and we would win La Liga for sure,” said Keita.

Barcelona is now ahead in Primera division for 6 points in front of Real Madrid. It was 12 3 weeks ago, but Barcelona lost a couple of games and now it’s six. “That doesn’t worry me. I believe in this team and I think we will win La Liga without any problems. Still, we have to work hard and I’m sure the title will come to us,” said Keita.

FC Barcelona, the leader of the Primera division, got defeated tonight 1-2 by Espanyol. This is their first loss after 21 rounds. It was a difficult game from the very start — Barcelona wasn’t on the usual level. Seydou Keita started the game, and played until he made a foul on one player of Espanyol, and got a red card. The crowd on the Camp Nou was hailing against the referee, because they thought that no foul was made by Keita.

Barcelona played until the end with ten players and lost 1-2.

Seydou Keita, the attacking midfielder from FC Barcelona, had to leave the training session yesterday because he had problems with his right knee. Thus, he will probably be excluded from the squad against Espanyol in the Copa del Rey.

Barcelona’s medical staff will examine everything and report what kind of injury he picked up.

French newspapers have reported in the last couple of days that Marseille is planning a bid for FC Barcelona’s midfielder Seydou Keita, and that the player is willing to accept it. However, the player’s agent Pascal Boisseau had denied the whole story by saying that Seydou has no plans whatsoever to leave Barcelona.
“The whole story is totally false. I have indeed been in contact with Marseille about some players regarding the winter transfer period, but Seydou wasn’t discussed. And I don’t see a reason for him to change anyway: he’s playing with Barcelona, the best club of the planet! Bluntly speaking, it would just be ridiculous if we would be looking for a transfer at this moment.”

Seydou Keita himself said in an interview that he doesn’t go back to France anymore, after he played in Lens before.

Tonight’s game was a very hard one for FC Barcelona. It’s actually the last game in this year, the holidays are coming… And I guess it was kind of hard for Guardiola to motivate the squad. However, he succeeded and Barcelona won!
