Seydou Keita, the attacking midfielder from FC Barcelona, had to leave the training session yesterday because he had problems with his right knee. Thus, he will probably be excluded from the squad against Espanyol in the Copa del Rey.
Barcelona’s medical staff will examine everything and report what kind of injury he picked up.
TrackbackFrench newspapers have reported in the last couple of days that Marseille is planning a bid for FC Barcelona’s midfielder Seydou Keita, and that the player is willing to accept it. However, the player’s agent Pascal Boisseau had denied the whole story by saying that Seydou has no plans whatsoever to leave Barcelona.
“The whole story is totally false. I have indeed been in contact with Marseille about some players regarding the winter transfer period, but Seydou wasn’t discussed. And I don’t see a reason for him to change anyway: he’s playing with Barcelona, the best club of the planet! Bluntly speaking, it would just be ridiculous if we would be looking for a transfer at this moment.”
Seydou Keita himself said in an interview that he doesn’t go back to France anymore, after he played in Lens before.
