Mali secured their miracle 4-4 draw with Angola host and all thanks due to Seydou Keita in the opening of the African Cup in Luanda even though they were at 4-0 and had only 12 minutes left in the game.

Angola started the first half with a lead of 2-0 and managed 2 more goals at the halfway point of the second half. Mali got a series of goals late in the second half that allowed them to take a point.

This level of play is rare to say the least in a high level of football, especially a comeback from a 4-0.

Keita told Al Jazeera that he will focus on the mistakes made and their weaknesses too to keep the teams feet on the ground and improve.

He admitted he did’nt think there was a possibility of a comeback, and his greatest expectation was a 4-2 draw.

He told to the media, “This is a miracle. To be able to comeback to 4-4 after Angola led 4-0. This is rare in high level football. But we should stay with our feet on the ground and remember all the mistakes we made. I believe that we showed our qualities and weaknesses tonight.”

He also revealed, “If I told you that we believed in such a result at 4-0, I would be lying. We only thought that the draw was a possible outcome at 4-2.”

And yes, this may be one of the greatest sport bets in the history of betting.
